About Stress Level Calculator
Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. Many events that happen to you and around you — and many things that you do yourself — put stress on your body. You can experience stress from your environment, your body, and your thoughts.
How Stress is Calculated
This calculator uses a weighted scoring system based on the frequency of physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms:
Total Stress Score = (Physical Symptoms × 1.2) + (Emotional Symptoms × 1.5) + (Behavioral Symptoms × 1.3)
The score is then categorized into stress levels:
- 0-15: Low stress
- 16-30: Mild stress
- 31-45: Moderate stress
- 46-55: High stress
- 56+: Very high stress
Understanding Stress Levels
Different stress levels produce varying effects:
- Low (0-15): Minimal symptoms, good coping mechanisms
- Mild (16-30): Occasional symptoms, manageable with self-care
- Moderate (31-45): Frequent symptoms, may affect daily functioning
- High (46-55): Persistent symptoms, significant impact on life
- Very High (56+): Severe symptoms, may require professional help
